Job Description

ICM Group is looking for NDT Tubular / Tool Inspector 
Location - UAE


Job Objective

  • To assist and support the operation department with designated NDT scope of work
  • To assist and support in maintaining health and safety standard within the SSI HSEQ department 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs NDT (LPI & MPI) on New and Used drill stem components and generate reports in accordance to Baker Hughes standards (Inspection Procedures & Technical Publications) and Industry Standards. Dimensional checks on API rotary shoulder connections and drill stem bodies as per NS2 & DSl specifications.
  • Carry out QC full dimensional inspection in conjunction with Baker Hughes Technical Publications on drilling equipment / drilling motors in various departments. Generate required paperwork to process equipment for ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Ensure inspection activities are performed using well maintained and calibrated equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the working area and efficiencies in the application,capture and disposal of all spent NDT fluid consumables.
  • Engage in pre/post inspection cleaning of equipment and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the working area and efficiencies in the application, capture and disposal of all spent NOT fluid consumables.
  • Complv with all Baker Hughes site HS&E requirements.
  • Pre-job check & record inspection practical equipment function.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and skills under Lead QC Inspector and or Lead Inspector remit.
  • Hold toolbox talks with inspectors.
  • Perform other duties designated by the all Connect NDT Lead QC Inspector.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area equipment. 

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Experience in NDT/QC Inspector-Drill Tools and familiar with manual, computerized reporting
  • Meet Connect NOT requirement s in accordance with company written practices; Third party certification (ASNT and/ or PCN) to magnetic particle and dye Penetrant inspection.
  • Standard grade English and Mathematics.
  • Understanding of additional NDT techniques.
  • Understanding of engineering technical drawing in measuring instruments and metrological techniques.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental experience.
  • Understand the HSE requirements in Source inspection.
  • Familiarization with Connect NDT lifting Database.
  • Technical / Engineering background
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment, COSHH and PPE requirements.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Good communication skills in English written and verbal – Mandatory requirement
  • Have extensive knowledge of Baker Hughes Product Lines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Familiarization in drilling tools standards DS-1; NS2; API specifications. Demonstrated ability to understand technical equipment and NDT processes and understand drill stem drilling operations.
  • Safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in a team and be a team leader. Safety awareness;
  • Minimum 5 Years work experience as a Qualified NDT/QC Inspector-Drill Tools
  • Minimum High School Qualification
  • NDT/QC Inspector-Drill Tools / Drilling Motors – Mandatory requirement (Pervious Company)
