Job Description
ICM Group is looking for QA/QC Inspector – Fabrication.
Location – Abu Dhabi
Experience
6-10 years’ experience on QA-QC activities.
Other Details:-
These roles will require the person to sometimes work in Night Shift (on a rotation basis ), so candidates must be open for it.
Location will be Abu Dhabi – sometimes travelling to Dubai, Jebel Ali workshop might be required.
Candidates must have experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using Liquid penetrant (LPI) and Magnetic Particle (MPI) methods.
We are looking at someone with hands-on experience in quality control, quality assurance, as per the API or ASME standards (depending on the role), experience in dimensional inspection, testing etc. in Fabrication (depending on the role), coating, welding inspection Pressure Vessels, High-Thickness Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Underground Tanks, Welding, Pipeline, Skids etc. The person will be involved in Pre-Job Inspection, preparation of procedure, get approvals, prepare inspection test plan, documentation, coordinate with third party, then will also manage In-Process Inspection, WPS, Welding Inspection etc. Wil prepare reports during the job and after completion of the job as full and final document.
Job Objective:
To ensure and maintain the compliance as per IMS procedure, ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, API Q1 Latest Edition, API Q2 Latest Edition, ASME U & R Certification requirements
.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Preparation of pre-job documents and arrange client approvals
Perform dimension inspection, hardness check, NDE-LPI & MPI, Visual inspection, witness load/pressure test, incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, final clearance, boroscope, NDT co-ordination, pressure test/load test witness, baseline survey, MTC review and generate reports.
Conduct inspections as per ITP, prepare records and TPI/Client review, coordination with AI and compile the final dossier as per approved table of contents
Closure of punch list and non-conformities if any
Review of Data-packages, prior to release
Conduct welding inspection, prepare and review of welding documents like weld data sheets, weld map, welder continuity, weld summary, defect ratio analysis, welder performance review and corrective actions, Prepare ITP, as and when required by the projects. Prepare welding related validation file and keep UpToDate.
Conduct inspection, prepare & review of coating inspection reports, prepare coating related validation file and keep UpToDate
Maintenance of QA/QC server and ensure the availability of documents as per company’s retention period.
Assist in internal audit and supplier audit.
Any other specific task assigned by department head.
Specialized Knowledge
Familiar with International codes / standards like ASME / API / BS / EN etc is essential.
Requires interpretation of machining drawing & fabrication drawings.
Familiar with Management system implementation
Proficient in MS Office computer packages
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015
Certified welding inspector – CSWIP/AWS – preferrable
Certified coating Inspector – BGAS/NACE preferrable
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
Ensure the process control in welding and Coating, improve technicians’ awareness and process compliance
Reduction of NCRs & Customer complaints by taking suitable corrective actions
Better document control
