Job Description

Project Control Specialist

ICM Group are seeking a Project Control Specialist responsible for providing oversight and support to various projects within the company within the downstream fuel portfolio.

 

This includes providing an independent view to decision makers on project progress, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.

 

Your primary role is to lead and conduct project health check assessment process and advice on mitigation plans to maintain project cost and schedule. You are also going to provide project control services to the project team as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project health check assessment for joint venture projects and present the outcome to the project sponsor.
  • Review and monitor projects performance and present results to the project team and project sponsor.
  • Prepare reports to analyses project progress in development or execution stages.
  • Perform project risks analysis.
  • Manage the database for projects lessons learned.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies.
  • Support project team by providing them with the best practices in project oversight and project control.
  • Provide consultation services in project management such as project economics, governance, organization setup, cost estimating, scheduling, procurements, and risk management.
  • Provide support to develop the business plan, project feasibility, project technical development.
  • Analyze claims and advice on negotiation strategies.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program. A master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • 15 years’ work experience in project management, including at least 10 years in project control e.g., planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • PMP and PMI-SP certificates from Project Management Institute (or equivalent certificates)
  • certified by & AACEI (Advanced Association of Cost Engineer) or equivalent certificates.
  • work experience in mega projects for refineries, petrochemicals, or infrastructure industries.
  • experiences in developing project scope, project schedule and cost estimates.
  • the capability to enhance benchmarking databases from a cost and industry perspective.
