QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, or related technical field desired. Technical degree will be considered with additional work experience.

Minimum of 10 years HSE experience and 5 in energy the Oil & Gas industry.

Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience, preferably in the past 10 years.

Working knowledge of Brazilian norms and legislation. and Knowledge of OSHA regulations is highly desired.

Experience in maintaining and continuously improving HSE management systems.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of HSE procedures, polices and programs.
• Work with Business development to fulfill tender requirements
• Participate in the vetting and selection of contractors and vendors
• Lead cultural HSE programs to align with corporate procedure and project expectation.
• Identify and implement solutions to eliminate occupational safety risks at offices and worksites within Brazil.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, HSE Manual and associated processes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of safety requirements in project related activities as needed.
• Develop and present monthly HSE presentations to, client and corporate management.
• Maintain HSE records, reporting them to corporate and client management teams.
• Lead or participate in incident investigation on site ensuring root cause analysis is used where applicable. 
• Ensure emergency response & security drills, training, and incident response activities are conducted in line with requirements and in coordination with yard and office teams.
• Development, implement and manage employee notification systems, processes and procedures in the event of emergencies.
