Geomechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified professional in Geosciences or Reservoir Engineering (Bachelor’s degree or higher).
Duration of assignment: 3 months
Rotation: onshore job - 12hrs per day, 7 days per week.
This is a temporary assignment based in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities
• Update reservoir data using 1D geomechanical modeling and support operational geomechanics monitoring within company's environment/software (Drillworks).
• Ensure deliverables fully align with customer expectations for quality, functionality, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to validate test cases and ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and refine the product backlog according to evolving customer and market needs, with approval from senior product management.
• Follow agile methodologies throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Work closely with solution owners, leadership teams, and external stakeholders to define priorities, guide product direction, and support business/commercial strategy.
• Partner with delivery management and product engineering to clearly define scope and translate needs into actionable feature requirements.
Requirements
• Degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Geomechanical Engineer.
• Hands-on experience using Drillworks software (basic proficiency required).
• Strong commercial acumen with a customer-centric mindset to understand and communicate product value.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in collaborating with customers.
