ICM Group is seeking an experienced Non-Metallic Engineering Specialist to provide technical expertise in the application, deployment, integrity assessment, and repair methodologies of non-metallic materials.
The successful candidate will lead studies and analyses related to material selection, procedure development, and the reliability of non-metallic systems in operation. You will train and guide on-site personnel in inspection and repair of non-metallic piping and equipment, assist in failure investigations, and support the professional growth of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities

Develop procedures and train personnel for comprehensive inspection of non-metallic equipment, including above- and below-ground GRP and HDPE piping, tanks, and vessels.

Conduct integrity assessments and failure investigations, providing recommendations to maintain or enhance equipment reliability.

Identify, evaluate, and support the deployment of cost-effective non-metallic products and technologies.

Develop and update standards, procedures, and best practices related to non-metallic applications.

Introduce and implement viable non-metallic inspection technologies.

Lead and support failure investigations, performing RCAs and issuing lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Review and approve solutions for coating failures and composite applications.

Review design packages and validate material selection in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Participate in company and international standards committees as required.

Stay current with advancements in non-metallic technologies through literature, research, and professional society participation.

Contribute to value engineering sessions to enhance non-metallic product performance and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Non-Metallic Materials, Polymers, Chemical, or Materials Engineering (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum 15 years’ experience in the oil & gas sector, including at least 5 years specializing in non-metallic materials engineering.

Proven expertise in non-metallic products such as piping, tanks, valves, composite structures, and components, including qualification, testing, failure analysis, and technical evaluation.

In-depth knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., API 15HR, API 15S, API 17J).

Familiarity with manufacturing, lining, installation, testing, and inspection processes for non-metallic components.

Membership or affiliation with professional organizations such as ASME, API, ISO, or NACE is highly desirable.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Valid passport holder residing in North, Central, or South America.
